About Charmi Chat
Charmi Chat is the discovery site for Charmi, an 18+ chat platform for fictional AI characters. The Charmi editorial team writes and maintains it.
What this site is
Each hub groups characters by the kind of conversation they are built for. Listings are a reviewed snapshot, not a live ranking; the date shown on a hub is when that snapshot was last read by a person. Conversations do not happen here. Choosing a character opens it on the Charmi product site.
How a character gets listed
A member of the editorial team reads the character's public card on Charmi: its premise, opening scene, tags and creator notes. A card is listed only when the premise is clear and nothing in it is sexual or violent. Each listing carries a one-line hook written by the reviewer in their own words; the card's own text is not copied onto this site. The site stores a fingerprint of the card's public text at review time, and the update script refuses to change a listing whose name, cover, creator or text has changed until a person reads it again.
How guides are written
Guides answer one practical question each. Every guide includes a section headed "What we observed" that describes what we found in Charmi's own product while writing it, and lists the outside sources we read with the date we read them. We do not rank competitors, and we do not publish text produced by a generation script.
What we do not do
No page on this site is created from a template with the names swapped. Hubs are added only when at least six reviewed characters fit them, and guides are published a few at a time so that each one can be checked.
Disclosure
Charmi publishes this site and benefits if readers choose to use Charmi. Links into the product carry campaign parameters so we can see which pages send people through.
Report a listing
If a listed card no longer matches its description, use the report control on the character's page on Charmi. Reported cards are removed from the next snapshot while they are checked.
